As we approach Christmas, we are once again asking for the support of colleagues across the Council to help make the festive season a little brighter for our care experienced young people.
For many of the young people we support, Christmas can be a difficult time. Many are living independently, away from family networks, and your kindness can make a real difference in helping them feel remembered, valued and cared for by their corporate family.
There are several ways you can get involved:
Corporate Secret Santa
Individually or as a team, you can be matched with a young person and become their Secret Santa. We will provide some information about the young person, along with a small wish list to help you choose a gift. Gifts will not exceed £50 in value. If you would like to do this please fill in this link Christmas 2026 – Fill in form
Purchase a Gift from Our Amazon Wishlist
If you would prefer, you can purchase a gift directly from our Amazon Wishlist. This helps us ensure young people receive gifts they genuinely want and need.
Support Our Christmas Day Appeal
You can contribute to our Christmas Day Appeal through our GoFundMe page. Donations will help us provide gifts, festive food, activities and support for young people who may otherwise spend Christmas alone.

Volunteer Your Time
We are also looking for colleagues who would like to volunteer in the run up to Christmas. Whether you can spare a few hours or a whole day, there are plenty of ways to help, including:
Shopping for gifts and essentials
Wrapping presents
Helping deliver Christmas hampers and festive treats
Supporting activities and events in the lead up to Christmas
Volunteering on Christmas Day to help ensure our young people have a special and memorable experience
Giving your time can be just as valuable as giving a gift, and it is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting difference to a young person's Christmas.
Every contribution, whether through a gift, donation or volunteering, will help create positive memories and show our young people that they are valued, remembered and supported by their corporate family.
If you would like to become a Secret Santa, volunteer, or would like more information about the ways you can support, please contact us via Christmas 2026 – Fill in form
