Referrals now open for Flourish Group Project

people with their hands together as a team

FLOURISH is a small weekly group for young people aged 11-13 including those considered vulnerable, at risk, or struggling with day-to-day life.

Many young people referred experience mental health challenges and we develop sessions aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing, as well as reducing risk taking behaviour.

We use a mixture of creative approaches, targeted work, team building, group activities and peer-led discussion. Groups have no more than 6 young people and are led by a youth worker.

The projects run for 12 weeks, and we guide young people on to further youth settings and other groups that might be suitable for them as they progress on from the project.

Thursday 21st May (4:30 – 5:30pm).

PROCESS FOR REFERRAL:

If you’d like to refer a young person for the FLOURISH project, please complete the referral link with the young person’s consent. I’ll then arrange to meet you, the young person, and/or their parent/carer at Pilgrim Street. This is so we can meet young people to talk about the group and support them with any worries they might have and make sure they feel happy to join the project. We can also introduce them to the other services based out of Pilgrim Street. Anyone can refer a young person in.
